bangs

i sooo want to have bangs...hehehe...

my last haircut was like... ahmm... wait... a year ago? secret natin to ha? pero gusto ko yung hair ni...you wouldn't believe it... jolina. hahaha. yup. yung layered (as usual) with long bangs na pwede ilagay sa likod ng tenga. get the pic? tingnan nyo na lang yung billboard sa tapat ng sm city.

so... i'm in search of the most reliable hairdresser in town. may alam ba kayo?

may trauma kasi ako sa mga hairdressers eh. i was a college freshman when i had my hair done by a manggugupit sa palengke...hehehe... and i don't think i have to tell you how it sucked. and to console me, all the hair cutter said was, "Wag kang mag-alala hahaba rin yan". Nak ng!

on the bolder side

i have a good life and for this i am thankful.

however...

i think i need some spice.

life meant only two things for me lately, work and home. pretty interesting, huh? whenever i feel the need to go to some other world, i bury myself into a novel. but then, a book is still... just a book. a stimulant of imagination. a fictional world. nothing real. nothing tangible.

sometimes, i want to be carefree. to live life in full abandon. in spontaneity. to be a harum-scarum.

i want to go bungee jumping. really. seriously. whenever i imagine doing so, i knew i'd be damned scared out of my wits. which basically what makes me wanna do it more. i want to face my fear right in the face and ... just enjoy the ride.

i want to drag race. it has always been my dream to be in one. but whenever i'm in the steering wheel, i'm just plain nervous and i hate it. i guess things are different when it's your own car your talking about. but still, i want to experience speed and rush and that living-on-the-edge kind of feeling.

i want to perform. haha. i can't believe i'm saying this but really. i want to be a vocalist for a band, a rock band... uhm... ok... sige na nga alternative band na lang. hehehe. ofcourse, it would be much better if i play the bass guitar, too. i dunno, i've always had stage fright. i've had a few attempts performing in public but it just always gets the better of me. my bad. i remember, the only time i wasn't afraid of singing for a crowd was during flag ceremonies in high school. i'd gladly sing the Lupang Hinirang, on mic, mind you. but in anonymity. inside the comfort of that small corner in school where nobody can see me except the sound technician.

i want to travel and have that life-in-a-suitcase dream. who doesn't anyway? but topping the list of my dream destinations would be (1)Japan, (2)London and (3)Paris. I'd probably be documenting every stop, every landmark, every cloud-type of every trip. hay.

believe me, my list is loooooooong. from being a karate or judo athlete, a diner waitress, a UNICEF Ambassor, to being a spy, an elf and a lion trainer...oopps, i guess that last one was too much. hehehe. dunno why i end up here sitting on this red, moving chair with these little armrests and staring in front of this 14 inch monitor. yes, my friends, a 14 inch monitor. what a...blessing. hahaha.

there. the list of things i would be in the next life and the next and the next. what about you? any wildcat aching to get out?

ding boy out

god i miss blogging.

work is such a pain lately. but something is keeping me excited and it will happen this coming saturday. hint: this may be it. anyway, i'll talk about about it when it's done.

so...i have nothing profound and of depth to write. i just want to thank all my friends who care to comment on my mundane entries. not that they're so many but i really have a grand time reading them and realizing that we may be separated by distance but they will always be...you know...around.

i promise to write something of sense sometime soon. anyway, speaking of sense. just want to share this. while jay, sam and i are on our way home...

setting : sunday night, in the car

sam : (to the tune of in or out) ding boy out...am i in or out... ding boy...
me : sam kantahin mo nga yung sa sex bomb... (i wanted to let daddy hear)
sam : sabi mo ayaw mo kantahin ko yung sex bomb?
me : ay oo nga no
jay : bakit?
me : sabi ko kasi sa kanya wag nya kantahin yung kanta ng sex bomb...ang pangit eh...walang sense...
sam : mommy, yung sandara ba may sense??
me : oopps...oo nga naman...hehehe

2 months before...

sam : itsumo kokoro inarosiya... (yep, she as her own version of itsumo...just like sandara's in or out)
me : alam mo yan??? *shocked*
sam : opo, si itsumo boy, si kokoro girl...love ni itsumo si ya...

3 month before ...

sam : ding boy out am i in or out... ding boy out am i in or out...(ulit, hindi obvious na favorite nya)
me : anuyan???
sam : mommy, si ding boy si hero yun...
me : nyiii

oh no...certified jologs ang anak ko...hehehe

i never really liked my wedding

i've been seeing a lot of wedding blogs lately. there's jovan and charo's.dj billie's. and a few others. seeing all those blissful and colorful pictures. of elaborate preparations. i just can't help but remember how it was. you know. my wedding.

first, i'd have to say my MARRIAGE has been great. it has been wonderful actually. it does have its share of screwups and pitfalls. but overall is has been fun and happy. but my wedding...

let's just say that if i had an option to choose an event in my life i would like to "redo", then this would be topping the list. imagine this, a couple of penniless yuppies who "needed" to do it because we're racing against the stork's arrival. know what i'm sayin'?

everything was just so rushed and pressured that i never really enjoyed, more so, knew what i was getting into. that it was a wedding. a union of two souls loving. a sharing of lives. and that it was OUR wedding. MY wedding.

imagine counting the guests and mentally computing if the food will suffice. or seeing the faces of "the folks" all screwed up like their having constipation. yes, there were a few people who really wished happiness for us. but the people that mattered were there just because they have to.

i mean, it should have been my day wasn't it? i should have been celebrating and enjoying and savoring every moment when finally the love of my life and i will finally live a life together.

maybe because i wasn't really the type of girl who at her teens already knew what her bridal gown would look like or what type of flowers will decorate the altar or things like that. or maybe because there was just not much time or money...or help. honestly, it was one point in my life that i felt alone, except for a handful of people who have always been there oblivious of how i was feeling inside.

and now. that wedding is short of taboo in discussions between my and him or me and anybody else. i never really actually saw the wedding video since we got it from the supplier more than three years ago. or the wedding pictures. i guess i just don't want to remember how low felt at the day which should have been the biggest event of my life.

well, it's over. and happy memories of sam being born, and seeing her grow up. being with him and discovering how wonderful a man he is everyday. and all these precious events in my life that took place thereafter sort of outweigh whatever sad memory that day loomed in me.

there. i've finally said it. i did not like my wedding. i did like the honeymoon though. i guess i would just have to be happy with all those friends enjoying theirs. and wish that in my next life, i'd have a ball of a wedding. but with the same groom of course.
